EXhibition
Students will draft a proposal to the City of Calgary to have their seedlings planted in an urban space and contribute to creating a community garden.
Authenticity
Through the lens of interdisciplinary learning we created activities to centre around fostering a community of learning, accessing experts in several fields, and engaging the student through meaningful products. We connect plant growth and healthy living habits alongside sustainability and a sense of connection and responsibility to the environment. Holistically, we engaged Indigenous pedagogy by focusing on the development of the student intellectually, physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
